Service-Learning Trips
Be The Neighbor hosts justice-focused service-learning trips throughout the United States.
Our hope is to show you ways in which communities are working to combat some of our country's most pertinent issues and inspire your group to work for change in your own community. On our trips, we hope that everyone will find a way that they can use their skills and passions to be the neighbor that our faith calls us to be.
We lead two types of trips:
Connect Trips focus on how to actively develop partners in your own neighborhoods so that, together with your neighbors, you can work to make your community a place where all people can thrive.
Reach Trips help groups understand the root causes and systemic nature of injustices and equip groups to make long-term change through service and advocacy. You will learn from community leaders, organizers, public policy makers, advocates, and neighbors affected by the injustices you are seeking to address. Reach trips include service, but are more heavily focused on experiential learning.
